Lymphology unit

In the lymphology unit, specially trained medical and paramedical professionals provide treatment to patients at the Eugène Marquis Centre who have developed secondary lymphoma. Our staff collaborate with independent physiotherapists to provide care.

Care is provided at various stages:

An initial consultation with the Centre’s physiotherapist and, occasionally, a doctor is held to discuss your personal care pathway with you.

Physiotherapy sessions may be prescribed, to be provided by an independent physiotherapist.

Follow-up consultations may be scheduled at the Centre as required to adjust your care.

You may be recommended either private or group workshops:

  • “Daily Life and Hobbies”, to help you understand oedema and adapt your daily activities
  • “Treating lymphoedema: treatments and resources”
  • “Bandaging your upper limbs”
  • The Centre’s physiotherapist is always available to direct you towards other support care professionals as required, such as the dietician, pain nurse, social care worker or psychologist.
