Palliative care

As part of its global approach to patient care, the Eugène Marquis Centre provides care for patients in the palliative phase of illness.

Treatments are adapted and support is provided to patients and their families in order to improve quality of life. Our multidisciplinary team works in coordination and with an ethical focus to provide various types of care:

  • Medical
  • Psychological
  • Social
  • Spiritual

At the Eugène Marquis Centre, patients receiving palliative care, as well as their friends and family, can access any of the following services as required:

  • The palliative care unit is part of the normal hospital admissions department, here doctors and trained healthcare professionals provide palliative care for patients with acute symptoms and those reaching the end of life.
  • Outpatient support care department, where patients can come to the Centre for half a day to receive multi-disciplinary care to address the symptoms they are experiencing and the difficulties they may be facing, with the aim of helping them remain in their own home, supported by their families and external care providers.
