The French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) [Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale] is the only French public research institute dedicated exclusively to human health. Its mission is to provide strategic, scientific and operational coordination in the field of biomedical research.
By involving the expertise of chemists, biologists and clinicians, the (INSERM U1242) COSS laboratory is working to better understand the molecular mechanisms responsible for tumour resistance to the immune response, chemotherapy and radiotherapy in patients with triple negative cancers, glioblastoma and lung cancer. The laboratory is also seeking to develop new techniques to make tumours responsive to standard treatments.
COSS is a cross-disciplinary research laboratory that studies the molecular mechanisms that control endoplasmic reticulum stress, DNA repair and signal pathways used by death ligands and receptors.
